Beef Paye
Paye – Paye or paay, the feet of the cattle makes extremely delicious rich curry. Like beef meat, beef paye are also very flavorful with rich fats. Paye is usually enjoyed for brunch to give the stomach time to digest it. Serve hot with green chillies, ginger and lemon.
Ingredients
- Beef paya (feet/hoof) (boiled) 1
- Onions 2
- Green cardamoms 4
- Oil 1 cup
- Chicken stock 6 cup
- Yogurt 125 gm
- Black cumin 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Red chili powder 2 tsp
- Nutmeg powder 1/2 tsp
- Mace powder 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1,1/2 tsp
- All spice powder 1,1/2 tsp
- Coriander for garnishing
- Green chilies for garnishing
- Lemon for garnishing
- Ginger for garnishing
- Mint for garnishing
- Salt to taste
- Latif Cooking Oil
Cooking Directions
- Heat Latif Cooking Oil in a pan and fry sliced onion in it until golden brown.
- Mix together yogurt, salt, coriander, red chili powder, mace, nutmeg, turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste.
- Add this mixture to fried onions.
- Stir it well together.
- Add boiled paya and stir it well.
- Add chicken stock, cover and cook it on low flame till tender.
- Turn off the stove and add all spice powder, cardamoms and crushed black cumin.
- Pour it out in a deep platter and garnish it with coriander, green chilies, lemon, chopped ginger and mind leaves before serving.
